Privacy Policy
Information we collect
We collect the information members provide when applying and maintaining a profile: name, license type, practice contact details, and the clinical details a member chooses to publish. Administrative contact details are visible only to administrators.
Directory visibility is member-controlled
The BAAPPT directory is visible only to signed-in members. Each member chooses whether their listing is visible to their direct connections only, to their extended network of colleagues, or to the full membership, and whether their phone, email, and office address are shown. Contacts a member uploads to their personal referral list are private to that member and are never shown to anyone else.
Client information
BAAPPT is not a covered entity and does not store client records. Members must never post Protected Health Information (PHI) or identifiable client data anywhere on the platform.
Your choices
Members can edit or remove profile information at any time, manage notification preferences in their profile, and request account removal by contacting an administrator.
No Professional Advice or Clinical Endorsement
BAAPPT is a networking directory and peer-to-peer communication platform only. BAAPPT does not provide medical, clinical, or psychological advice, treatment, or therapy. Listing on or participating in the BAAPPT directory does not constitute an endorsement, verification, or guarantee of any clinician's credentials, licensures, or quality of care.
Referral Disclaimer & Assumption of Risk
All referrals, consultations, and communications exchanged between members are conducted voluntarily and independently. Members and users assume sole responsibility and full risk for evaluating and vetting any provider or referral contact made through this platform.
HIPAA & Privacy Compliance Waiver
Users agree not to post, transmit, or share Protected Health Information (PHI) or identifiable client data anywhere on the BAAPPT platform. Members are solely responsible for adhering to HIPAA regulations, California state privacy laws, and ethical standards.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BAAPPT, its founders, and administrators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from member interactions, directory usage, platform outages, or professional services provided by listed clinicians.
